Arby's Steakhouse Onion Rings

2 large red onions2 cups milk1 large egg1 cup flour1 cup cornstarch1 teaspoon saltvegetable oil for fryingFill your deep fryer with veg. oil heating to 400 degrees. Peel the outer layer off of the red onions and cut them up into 1 inch rings and set aside. In a bowl mix milk and egg. In another bowl mix flour, cornstarch, and salt. Soak the onion rings in the bowl with the milk and egg mixture for about 30 minutes. Repeat the following process (at least twice each)... toss each ring in the flour mixture then back to the milk and egg mixture. Fry in the hot oil until golden brown approx. 6 minutes flipping after 3 minutes so that both sides get evenly browned. Transfer to a large plate that has been covered with paper towels and season all of them with a little bit of salt.
