M&M Sugar CookiePanera Bread Copycat Recipe
1- ½ cups sugar
2 -½ cups all purpose flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1 -¼ sticks unsalted butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 large eggs
3 cups M&M’s
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a small bowl whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder and set aside. In a large bowl, beat on medium speed the soften (room temperature) butter, and sugar. Beat until creamy, approx 3 to 6 minutes. Add vanilla. Add eggs and beat until well blended. Then slowly add the flour a little at a time.
Prepare cookie sheets with parchment paper or baking mats. Wet your hands and roll about 1 and ½ – 2 tablespoon of cookie dough into a ball and place on cookie sheet. Be sure to leave plenty of space between cookies. I only put 8 cookies per cookie sheet. You may need to wash and wet your hands after three or four balls to avoid the dough sticking to your hands. Place as many or as few M&M’s as you like onto each ball. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes.
