Cinnamon Braid Bread |
Just the unique look of this bread alone, made me want to try it! Then when I saw the simple ingredients I knew I had to try it! I'm not much of a baker so I wasn't sure if I could get this bread to work for me...but I did! It was very easy! I love that the dough has an egg yolk and milk in it. I never made a bread with those ingredients before! Shaping it was something I'd never done before with bread either, but it was fun! Here is the 'step by step' photos from the original recipe...
This not only looks good but the taste is wonderful! It tastes like a combination of a cinnamon roll and a sweet bread. It has slightly crisp edges and a light, soft core!This recipe makes a small round loaf that serves 6-8...but as you can see in this photo, my daughter and I ate 1/2.
